What can I throw in a dumpster?

Appliances are not allowed in the dumpster, such as, refrigerators, stoves, etc. Some hazardous materials such as paint and lacquers are also not permitted. Discover all items dumpster rental companies will not accept.

Our rental period includes a full week of dumpster rental included in the price. Take this time to make sure there’s nothing else you want to throw away before we come by to pick up your dumpster. In order to provide you with the best service all our rentals last at least a week so you can get the most bang for your buck.

East Grand Rapids is known for many things, one especially being the childhood neighborhood of where Gerald Ford, the 38th President of the United States grew up.

The likes of Chris Van Allsburg, author of the children’s book The Polar Express, Brian Vander Ark former lead singer of the Verve Pipe, and athletes like Luke Glendering (Red Wings), Tom Lehman (PGA), and other famous celebrities have also called East Grand Rapids their home.

Celebrities aside, another big draw for East Grand Rapids is the great family entertainment on the shores of Reeds Lake during the summer. Once a month starting in June through August, there are movies in the park where movies are shown on an inflatable screen at dusk. Come early for the best seat and bring your lawn chair or blanket. For music lovers, on Monday nights in June and July Grab bring the youngsters and a picnic basket and join the family-friendly concerts on Mondays at 7 p.m. in beautiful John Collins Park. For the artist in you, the Reeds Lake Art Festival is typically held the third weekend in June. Last year there were over 120 booths with a wide selection of various art forms. There will be paintings, pottery, jewelry, wood furnishings and many other unique works on display. Come wander the Gaslight Village and enjoy a day of browsing and shopping. Vendor booths are located on Wealthy Street between Lakeside Dr. and Croswell St.

East Grand Rapids has a lot to offer athletes too, for over 40 years East Grand Rapids has inspired competitors of all ages, capabilities, (and paws) to join in the fun of the annual Reeds Lake Run. You can run or walk a 5K, run a 10K and even run or walk a 5K with your dog. There is also a 10K wheelchair and handcycle division. All runners, walkers, wheelchair and handcycle participants will get a moisture wicking race shirt.

For the even more adventurous athlete there is the Rhoade McKee Reeds Lake Triathlon / Duathlon which takes place in September.

Lastly, there is great shopping, dining, and more in the recently renovation Gas Light District which is the quaint heart of downtown East Grand Rapids. With lots of restaurants and eclectic stores it’s a fun stroll for you and the family.
